My City Skies paintings on Polaroids stem from a simple idea: walking in a city and looking up at the sky squeezed in between the buildings.
I started the series in 2012 when I was living in East London and walking to and from my studio in Bethnal Green. I took Polaroids as I walked, then began painting over and transforming them into a reimagined city. They spread across my studio like an urban plan and became a compelling project.
